General Safety Guidelines

At All Around Adventure Fishing Charters, the safety of our passengers, crew, and vessels is our top priority. These guidelines are designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. By participating in our charters, you agree to abide by these safety protocols.

1. Pre-Trip Preparation

Medical Conditions

  • Passengers must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that may affect their ability to safely participate in the trip.
  • If you have a history of seasickness, we recommend taking appropriate medication before boarding.

What to Bring

  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
  • Comfortable, non-slip footwear suitable for wet surfaces.
  • Adequate hydration and snacks, as needed. Alcohol is permitted in moderation for passengers over 21 years old.

2. Safety Briefing

Before Departure

  • A safety briefing will be conducted by the captain or crew prior to departure. This will include:
    • Location and use of life jackets and safety equipment.
    • Procedures for emergencies, including man overboard, fire, and medical incidents.
    • Guidelines for safe movement around the vessel.

Passenger Responsibilities

  • Passengers must listen carefully to the safety briefing and ask questions if clarification is needed.
  • Children under 12 years old must wear a life jacket at all times while onboard.

3. Vessel Safety Rules

General Behavior

  • Passengers must follow all instructions from the captain and crew at all times.
  • Do not lean over the sides of the vessel or sit on railings.
  • Smoking is prohibited onboard.

Fishing Gear

  • Use fishing gear responsibly to avoid injuries to yourself or others.
  • Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the crew immediately.

4. Emergency Procedures

Man Overboard

  • If someone falls overboard, alert the crew immediately.
  • Follow the crew’s instructions and avoid any unnecessary movement that may impede rescue efforts.

Fire or Mechanical Issues

  • Remain calm and follow the captain’s directions.
  • Emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers and first aid kits, is available onboard.

Medical Emergencies

  • Notify the crew immediately if a medical issue arises.
  • Basic first aid can be administered onboard, and the vessel will return to shore if necessary.

5. Weather and Sea Conditions

  • Trips may be rescheduled or canceled due to adverse weather conditions. The captain has sole discretion to make this decision for passenger safety.
  • Passengers are advised to wear layered clothing to accommodate changing weather conditions.

6. Alcohol and Drug Policy

  • Alcohol is permitted in moderation for passengers aged 21 and older.
  • The captain reserves the right to terminate the trip without refund if excessive alcohol consumption jeopardizes safety.
  • Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

7. Liability and Assumption of Risk

  • Passengers participate at their own risk and acknowledge that boating and fishing involve inherent dangers, including but not limited to:
    • Changing weather and sea conditions
    • Use of fishing gear and marine equipment
    • Motion sickness and slips or falls
  • All Around Adventure Fishing Charters is not liable for injuries, illnesses, or damages resulting from participation, except in cases of gross negligence.

  • If you notice unsafe conditions or have safety concerns, notify the captain or crew immediately.
